Does HLR also offer a delivery and collection service?

Yes, we offer a chargeable delivery and collection service on request, which allows you to have the hired equipment conveniently delivered to your desired address and collected again at the end of the hire period.

We are happy to include this service in our quotation and show you the costs separately. Simply let us know in writing when you place your order whether you would like us to take care of the delivery for you, as some minimum information is required in this case (see below).

For the delivery service, we work together with partner haulage companies from the regions of our warehouse locations. Please understand that we have little influence on some factors concerning the external service provider.

What are the minimum data requirements for delivery by an HLR partner forwarding agent?

Complete delivery address

  • Company name
  • Street name & house number
  • Postcode, city
  • Contact person on site (first and last name)
  • If necessary, directions or similar.

Delivery date

  • Delivery takes place on the agreed delivery day between 8:00 and 16:00

Information on any restrictions on delivery/collection:

Examples:

  • Construction site can only be accessed with vehicles up to max. 3.5 tonnes
  • Unloading site not permanently manned between 8 am and 4 pm
  • Pre-booking required, e.g. at Chemparks etc.

What does the delivery service cost?

The exact costs for your requirements vary depending on the distance from the HLR storage location, the type and scope of the rental equipment and other factors. Please contact us for an exact cost breakdown.

How can I arrange the delivery and collection service?

You can request the delivery and collection service during the quotation phase and without any obligation for you. Simply enter the minimum dates for delivery and the desired dates so that we can take delivery and collection into account in the quotation.

Do I have to be present in person when the equipment is delivered or collected?

An authorised person must be on site to accept the delivery or collection of the equipment and to check its condition. If you are unable to be present in person, we can make alternative arrangements, e.g. appoint an authorised representative.

Who loads the haulage vehicle? Can the driver load independently?

Please note that even if you have booked a delivery/collection service, the unloading and loading of the forwarding vehicles on site must ALWAYS be carried out by you as the tenant or by authorised vicarious agents.

Attention: The drivers are not authorised to load/unload the HLR rental equipment!

How much lead time does HLR need if I want to have the material delivered to my desired delivery address by a haulage company?

Sufficient lead time is required to process the order according to our current availability and to pick the goods in our warehouse, as well as to organise the desired delivery process with the external transport service provider.

We recommend ordering as early as possible to ensure that we can fulfil your requirements. In general, we always endeavour to offer you the optimum solution with the help of our competent logistics partners, even in the case of challenging and short-term requirements.

Are delivery and collection only possible during business hours?

We normally offer delivery and collection during our business hours. However, in some cases special arrangements can be made to allow delivery or collection outside of business hours. Please enquire if such options are available.

How does the pick-up process work after the end of the rental period if I want to use the pick-up service?

If you would like us to organise a chargeable collection from your desired address, you can provide us with the necessary details in the cancellation email you send us.

Please state the loading date on which the goods (packed as delivered) are ready for collection and can be loaded by you.

In any case, you will receive a written confirmation of the possible collection from us. If you have not received an email within one working day, please contact us immediately by telephone. Tel. 040-696 357 30.

Can I use the service for just one route (delivery or collection)?

Of course, we can also offer you the service on a single route.
